About the Assistant Meat Manager Role

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor offering customers Savings, Selection & Service, 7 Days a Week. We are seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to join our team, working closely with the Meat Manager to ensure all available product is out for sale, maintained with the strictest freshness policies, and developing relationships with customers to drive sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and provide friendly and efficient customer service by demonstrating sincerity, patience, and respect in all customer interactions.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure in-stock position of available product while monitoring inventory levels through frequent cycle counts, and maintain working knowledge of all warehouse equipment.
  • Product Presentation: Assist with product presentation, rotation, labeling, and replenishment, and maintain high cleanliness standards; clean as you go, inclusive of washing, cleaning, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Team Management: Assist department manager with interviewing, hiring, and scheduling needs, and adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines; comply with and reinforce all food safety and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Warehouse, retail, and/or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Ability to develop and train team members, build relationships, utilize skills of team members most appropriately, and operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Physical Demands: Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours/day, frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending, and frequently pushing/pulling objects 500 to 1,500 lbs.

Hourly Rate: From $14.50 - $14.99 an hour
