Job Overview

Hepburn and Sons LLC is seeking a skilled Technical Program Management Specialist to play a pivotal role in reducing programmatic and technical risks, ultimately driving better outcomes through efficient and effective transition of S&T investments into development of future military systems.

This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer. As a valued member of our team, you will have opportunities to work with senior Navy officials and leadership at other services, facilitating collaboration and communication across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist program officers with conceptualizing, developing, budgeting for, and socializing new Fundamental Research programs, Technology Candidates (preFNCs), Future Naval Capabilities (FNCs), and Innovative Naval Prototypes (INP) Programs.
  • Support the development of investment strategies, technology roadmaps, warfighting payoff assessments, and periodic updates to program investment plans as required.
  • Liaise with senior Navy officials and senior leadership at other services, Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, and international DoD partner services and organizations.
  • Support special studies and technology advisory panels as needed.
  • Coordinate program officers' plans, projects, and program activities with other DoD organizations and government agencies to support, facilitate, and avoid duplication of investments.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A master's degree may be substituted for two years of experience.
  • Five years of experience in engineering, mathematics, or science, including biology, chemistry, computer science, and physics.
  • Recent experience (last five years) in federal acquisition and budgeting.
  • Experience executing and reviewing technical studies, analysis, and design activities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
