Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Intake Nurse RN to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a vital role in assessing the medical and behavioral needs of patients and ensuring they receive the highest quality care.

About the Job

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population. You will be responsible for conducting nursing assessments, obtaining admission orders from physicians, and completing nursing admission notes. Your strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams will be essential in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment progress
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of California
  • A minimum of three years of experience in psychiatric healthcare or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
