Mental Health Program Director

As the Mental Health Director at Wellpath, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to underserved patients. You will oversee the mental health program, ensuring compliance with policies, accreditation standards, and patient safety initiatives. Your expertise will guide the development of evidence-based treatment programs, mental health treatment planning, and activity therapy. You will also supervise mental health professionals, conduct staff selection and recruitment, and manage inventory and supplies. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, supervise, and coordinate clinical services for mental health staff
Provide clinical supervision, professional education, and staff development
Oversee and implement evidence-based treatment programs
Conduct staff selection and recruitment, supervise clerical support staff, and manage inventory and supplies
Collaborate with the site Psychiatrist for crisis intervention oversight
Qualifications & Requirements:
Masters degree in social work, clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited college or university required
Experience in the coordination and administration of mental health service delivery systems
Licensed in the state of employment by the appropriate state licensing board
Must maintain CPR certification, and any other certifications required by contract

How you make a difference:
The Mental Health Director provides clinical and administrative oversight for the Mental Health program and the Mental Health staff within the facility as well as consultation regarding the mental health program. They also provide clinical supervision and direction to Mental Health Professionals. They provide mental health services consistent with expectations of professional training and experience.
