**Job Description**

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment within the facility. This role involves routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and collaboration with team members to uphold safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals for mechanical preventive maintenance and repair tasks, using technical expertise to ensure compliance.
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting to identify issues, utilizing problem-solving skills to resolve complex problems.
  • Adhere to all laws, regulations, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance.
  • Use hand and power tools, as well as heavy machinery, following all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure efficient operations.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials efficiently, optimizing workflows and reducing downtime.
  • Receive materials from vendors and account for inventory accurately, ensuring seamless supply chain management.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from management and work independently when required, demonstrating adaptability and self-motivation.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills and self-motivation to complete tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address maintenance challenges and implement solutions, continuously improving processes and outcomes.
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds, adhering to physical demands and safety protocols.
  • Utilize pipefitting skills and other plant maintenance techniques, drawing on at least 5 years of relevant experience to deliver high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, including P&IDs and PFDs, to ensure accurate understanding and implementation.
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and reporting, streamlining communication and data management.
  • Completion of a welding apprenticeship is a plus, demonstrating advanced technical skills and expertise.
