Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Circulator to join our surgical team. As a key member of our perioperative nursing staff, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the operating room setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop age-specific plans of care for each patient, identifying problems and communicating with the healthcare team.
  • Anticipate and provide equipment and supplies in a timely manner, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to OR sanitation policies.
  • Perform counts by following established policy and procedures, initiating corrective action when necessary.
  • Anticipate and provide safe anatomical positioning based on the needs of the patient and surgeon.
  • Monitor and control the OR Suite environment, maintaining traffic patterns and adhering to OR sanitation policies.
  • Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications and solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Previous surgery experience and knowledge of perioperative care.
  • The ability to work well under pressure, function dependently and independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to various settings.
