About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Account Manager to join our team at Vontier. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a network of distributors who sell and distribute our fleet fuel management solutions
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Prospect and develop end-fleet sales opportunities with our distributor partners
  • Collaborate with distributors to provide sales training and presentations to larger clients
  • Train, coach, and mentor distributor sales reps to sell our fleet fuel management solutions
  • Handle customer inquiries, investigate issues, and provide feedback
  • Network and negotiate with potential end-fleet accounts to generate revenue
  • Identify and work with engineering firms, clients, and government municipalities to educate and specify our fleet fuel management solutions
  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, and events within the territory
  • Manage sales data, including scheduling, logging sales calls, and managing assigned accounts
  • Source new and existing sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls
  • Perform effective online and in-person demos to prospects
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop sales tools and marketing materials
Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in distributor management and sales
  • Fleet transportation and logistics knowledge or previous experience is a plus
  • Existing relationships with large private fleets, federal government, city, state, municipality, and DOT's is a benefit
  • Ability to interact at all levels in distributor and end-customer/prospect organizations
  • Ability to think quickly, articulate solutions, and counter objections professionally
  • Track record of exceeding quota targets
  • Proficient with CRM software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong selling, listening, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
