About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Support and Logistics Coordinator to join our team at the Erie Family Center.

Job Summary

The Family Support and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating childcare and transportation services for families attending groups at our center. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and manage all childcare and transportation needs for various groups, ensuring seamless coordination with group facilitators.
  • Orient parents to childcare room policies and procedures, and assist with paperwork as needed.
  • Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities for children, promoting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
  • Address challenging behaviors in accordance with our center's guidelines, prioritizing child safety and well-being.
  • Travel within and outside Erie County as required, using personal vehicle or other means of transportation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Education, or related field; or equivalent experience working with young children and families.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred; High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience accepted.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and valid PA Driver's License required.
  • FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance; and physical exam and drug screening.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that may require non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. Flexibility in scheduling and hours worked is expected, with regular attendance and physical presence required.

Salary

$37,000 per annum.
