Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Sunland Fire Protection, a subsidiary of American Fire Protection Group, is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for performing scheduled inspections, testing, and maintenance on various types of fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and backflows in commercial, healthcare, residential, industrial, and other types of facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform fire sprinkler, backflow preventer, fire pump, 5-year assessments, fire extinguisher, and emergency/exit lights testing and inspections in a knowledgeable and thorough manner.
- Complete inspection reports in a timely manner.
- Obtain signed inspection reports and terms and conditions from owner representatives.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent Sunland in a professional manner.
- Document deficiencies in a way that expedites the turnaround of repair quotes.
- Respond to supervisor and customer's needs.
- Effective scheduling of time.
- Obtain tools and equipment for projects as required.
- Coordinate with other team members as required to complete efficient inspections.
- Keep current with new technology, state and local codes.
- Maintain company vehicle in accordance with Sunland's policy.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and leaders in the company.
- Make backflow preventer repairs.
- F-S-IT License required.
- NICET II Certification preferred.
- Additional certifications related to fire safety are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in the fire protection industry preferred.
- Understand NFPA and building and fire codes.
- Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.
- Valid driver's license; in accordance with company policy required.
- Able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
- Knowledge of manufacturer's equipment.
