Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV) Program, a partnership with Lockheed Martin. This position requires a strong understanding of financial systems, including SAP/PRISM, and the ability to analyze complex financial data. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing finances related to JJV Procurement, including supplier proposal reviews, cost analysis, and financial data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review supplier proposals for compliance against the request for proposal (RFP) and assess/analyze whether quote is fair and reasonable.
  • Manage overall financial performance at the contract level, including building forecast, monitoring performance, understanding variances, and providing revised outlooks.
  • Support proposal efforts with focus on material estimating for the JVP by providing historical pricing, understanding supplier base, and communicating relevant data points based on current performance.
  • Ability to build 'what if' scenarios for management in support of making informed decisions on investments, risks, etc.
  • Ensure that relevant JVP cost and pricing information (e.g., risks and opportunities, investments, and assumptions) are well communicated, such that the program execution and expected financial outcomes are understood for smooth transition to Gate 5 (Program Execution).
  • Update and maintain interentity work authorizations (IWAs) for compliance to approved funding source.
  • Derive and distribute budgets based on contract awards and subsequent funding to provide negotiations targets for buyers with their respective suppliers.

Requirements:
  • Typically requires 5 years relevant work experience in Finance or related field; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of Finance related experience.
  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math, Economics or related/applicable field.
  • Experience in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookups).
  • Experience with financial systems (i.e. Deltek, Cost Point or a similar tool).
  • Experience creating, preparing, delivering presentations for all levels of management (verbal/written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

  • Understanding of EAC structure/preparation and Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Ability to effectively work in a challenging and fast paced environment.
  • Understanding of AOP and Long-Range Planning, program forecasting and metrics.
  • Ability to multitask and work on several different projects at anytime.
  • Experience working independently and with higher levels of management.
