Chemical Dependency Counselor II

As a Chemical Dependency Counselor II, you will work collaboratively with clients, families, and community agencies to provide assessment and intervention services, consultation, and case management. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting individuals and families affected by chemical dependency, as well as providing advocacy and support within the juvenile justice system.
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients' needs and develop treatment plans to address chemical dependency, mental health, and other related issues.
- Provide individual and family counseling, group therapy, and case management services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and social services to ensure comprehensive support for clients and their families.
- Conduct regular case reviews and updates to ensure effective treatment and progress monitoring.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, schools, and treatment centers to facilitate referrals, collaborations, and resource sharing.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, social work, or psychology, and 3 years of experience in chemical dependency counseling.
- LCDC II certification or licensure eligibility.
- Experience working with adolescents and youth in chemical dependency treatment settings.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and case management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office software.
