Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Assistant Manager to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our Central Sterile Supply department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the processing and distribution of medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Sterile Processing team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in the Central Sterile Supply department.
  • Collaborate with the OR and CS leadership to ensure seamless communication and coordination of sterile processing activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality control checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a similarly complex surgical services environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of sterilization techniques and regulatory standards.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Certifications: CRCST, CHL, or CIS/CST.
  • Excellent analytical and persuasion skills.
  • Knowledge of personal computer and software to include Excel, Access, Word, & Outlook.
