Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Telemetry unit is responsible for the care of adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiac conditions. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide individualized care, monitor patient progress, and prepare patients for discharge.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and conducting diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, identify potential complications, and take appropriate action to prevent or manage them.
  • Prepare patients for discharge, including educating them on post-discharge care and providing necessary resources.
  • Participate in shared decision-making activities and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a school of nursing required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
