About the Role:

This part-time MRI technologist position at University Hospitals requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to perform MRI scans and provide compassionate care to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiology information systems and be proficient in MRI equipment and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans as directed by radiologists
  • Provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics
  • Answer phones and arrange schedules for in-patient requests
  • Assure a safe and clean environment
  • Maintain knowledge of technical skills
  • Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients/customers and coworkers
  • Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment
  • Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values
  • Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently implementing special procedure technology in the MR area
  • Uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department
  • Collaborates effectively and in a timely manner with co-workers and clinical staff
  • Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • MR scanning experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of sterile and surgical procedures
  • Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment
  • Knowledge of radiology information system
  • Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machine, and emergency equipment
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) or ARDMS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire
