Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our rapidly expanding advanced therapy wound team. As a key member of our team, you will travel with our mobile wound team to patient residences and skilled nursing facilities, providing advanced wound care therapy and collaborating with our Patient Care Team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including recording complete medical and psychosocial history into the electronic medical record
- Record symptoms as described by patients and conduct physical examinations as it relates to wound conditions
- Make diagnoses based on examination and diagnostic testing, and develop treatment plans to promote wound healing
- Provide patient education to promote habits that will prevent diseases and maintain good health
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, to deliver best outcomes for patients
- Order and interpret lab and diagnostic testing, and follow up with patients to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments
- Participate in the development of clinical and quality policies to effectively deliver and improve services and outcomes to patients
- Travel up to 70% of the time using a company vehicle and with a wound care team
Requirements:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey
- Advanced Wound Care Certification preferred
- Advanced Wound Debridement Certification preferred
- Master's Degree preferred
- Current CPR Certification
- Ability to demonstrate compassion toward patients and complete tasks thoroughly
Work Environment:
- Travel and some in-office work
- Must be able to drive long periods and spend time in a vehicle
- Must be able to work in small, shared spaces
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Work Location: On the road
