The selected candidate will be responsible for providing professional, intensive case management to help guide customers in career development and educational pathways that lead to gainful employment and self-sufficiency. As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of participants, developing and managing comprehensive working relationships with stakeholders, and conducting outreach to customers who fail to report to mandatory appointments and services.
To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in social work, social services, counseling, business administration, or a related field, or a minimum of five years' experience in workforce development-related case management services with a professional certification. You must also have experience working with populations similar to the District's Customers, demonstrating an understanding of their unique circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of participants by motivating their education and job search efforts, which include coaching through barrier removal, professional development, and ultimately job placement
- Develop and manage the comprehensive working relationship with all stakeholders including customers, governmental agencies, employment partners, service providers, etc.
- Conduct escalating outreach to customers who fail to report to mandatory appointments and services
- Identify and assist with mitigating barriers to program participation, including but not necessarily limited to, health, mental health, housing, childcare, domestic violence issues
- Re-engage clients by discussing the range of available services and the potential benefits
- Maintain updated customer database and track customer engagement in services, accurately document case management activities in the State database daily
- Coach and mentor participants through personal and professional development
- Prepare reports of activities and achievements
- Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, social services, counseling, business administration, or a related field, or a minimum of five years' experience in workforce development-related case management services with a professional certification
- Experience working with populations similar to the District's Customers, demonstrating an understanding of their unique circumstances
- Prior experience developing, evaluating, and implementing milestone-driven service plans
- Ability to identify community resources/services and connect customers to these resources
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trusting relationships
- Effective communication, listening, and coaching skills
- Multilingual proficiency, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Ability to submit accurate written forms and reports
- Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- A Valid Driver's License
Salary: $46,000/year, based on a 40 hour work week
Travel: The position may require local travel up to 15-20% of the time
