">We are seeking an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team as an Environmental Scientist - Bat Conservation Specialist. This position will include opportunities for both field and office work in the Gulf Region (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma) and potentially elsewhere in the United States.
">Job Summary
">The Environmental Scientist - Bat Conservation Specialist will utilize their knowledge and experience to perform bat surveys and analysis to support environmental services projects. Key responsibilities include leading mist net survey sites for listed bat surveys, conducting vegetation inventories, completing aquatic assessments, and reviewing endangered resource records.
">Responsibilities

- Lead mist net survey sites for listed bat surveys;">
- Conduct vegetation inventories as it pertains to bat survey site description;">
- Complete aquatic assessments as they pertain to bat survey site description;">
- Perform background data reviews;">
- Submit environmental permit applications;">
- Review endangered resource records;">
- Support GPS data collection and mapping;">
- Use ArcGIS online mapping and data collection applications;">
- Record, enter, organize, manage, and analyze data;">
- Assist with and prepare portions of written reports, tables, spreadsheets, databases, and maps for client and regulatory agency review.">
Credentials and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in an environmental discipline such as biology, ecology, natural resources, soil science, or related field. A master's degree in biology or a related field from an accredited institution is a plus. You will also have 5+ years of related experience, demonstrated experience with biological surveys in the region, and experience working well in both teams and independently.
">Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
">Location: Texas (Austin, Houston, or Dallas), Louisiana (Baton Rouge or New Orleans)
