Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, bathing, and oral hygiene
  • Assist with patient mobility, including turning, lifting, and moving patients
  • Offer patient meals and nourishments, and record food intake
  • Assist with admission, discharge, transfer, and transport of patients
  • Respond effectively in emergencies and assist in preventing patient injury

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program or certified medical assistant program
  • 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility
  • Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of the Nursing Program
  • Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman
  • Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification of successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program
  • Healthcare Provider CPR certification

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Patient Care Technician will work closely with the nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
