Thermal Systems Engineer

At Blue Origin, we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As a Thermal Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems. Your expertise will be essential in advancing the thermal systems of multiple generations of lunar landers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture system inputs and perform system level trade studies
  • Perform temperature and heat transfer predictions using Thermal Desktop
  • Document results and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Relevant thermal engineering/analysis experience
  • Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals
  • Demonstrated thermal analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Experience solving a variety of thermal problems
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages
