Job Summary: We are seeking a Forestry Laborer to join our team in the City of Lawrence. As a Forestry Laborer, you will be responsible for operating large scale equipment, performing general labor tasks, and assisting with traffic control set up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating large scale equipment, including chippers
  • Performing general labor tasks, such as lifting stem wood and dragging brush
  • Assisting with traffic control set up
  • Knowledge and identification of trees is desirable but not necessary

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Must pass a background check

Working Conditions:

  • General work hours: 6:00AM to 2:30PM Monday - Friday
  • Job duration: approximately 10 months; spring through late fall

Compensation:

  • Pay Type: Hourly
  • Min Hiring Rate: $15.00
  • Max Hiring Rate: $18.00
