Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Emergency Department team at UPMC Altoona. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care and support to our patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing emotional support to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Participate in the emergency department's quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the registered nurse or department manager.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Act 33 and Act 34 clearances.
  • Act 73 FBI clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
