As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, appealing merchandise presentation, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage perishable stock levels using various tools, including current ads, planners, and order guides.
  • Train assigned associates in proper presentation, freshness, and pricing standards for perishable areas.
  • Assist in training associates in proper food handling and safety procedures.
  • Record perishable markdowns, analyze causes, and take corrective action to prevent recurrences.
  • Accurately record inventory levels as requested by the Store Support Center.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and train associates in perishable departments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of retail clerk experience.
  • Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling procedures.
  • Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level.
