Job Summary

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown to join our team. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care and developing your professional skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to meet those needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri or a compact state.
  • 2 years of experience in cardiac stepdown or a related field.
  • Experience with titrating drips, pre or post cardiac cath patients, and experience with sheaths.
  • Ability to float to other units as needed.
  • ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred.
  • Charting system experience, preferably Cerner.
