Job Description

We seek a highly skilled Senior Consultant/Consultant for the Vessels & Internals group to coordinate with experts in the nuclear industry and develop innovative solutions to industry problems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage technical projects to offer solutions to industry clients
  • Develop new leads and project opportunities with clients
  • Develop engineering assessments to resolve issues for utility clients
  • Contribute to proposals for project development and scoping
  • Understand engineering approaches from colleagues and experts
  • Support emergency client work, especially for outages and maintenance periods

Required Skills:
  • BS degree in Materials Engineering and/or Material Science
  • 15+ years of experience in Materials Evaluation, Testing & Certification, Programs Engineering, Nondestructive Examination, Welding & Repair, License Renewal, and Code Committees
  • Experience with NRC regulations and business protocol
  • Ability to travel up to 15% to support clients and business needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations
  • Proactive communication of project status to management

Desired Attributes:
  • Desire to continuously improve and grow engineering, client engagement, and project management skills
  • Willingness to support emergency client work necessary for plant restart or to avoid unnecessary plant shutdown
  • Curiosity to learn new technology and analytical approaches
  • PMP certification
  • Familiarity with material degradation and failure modes
  • Strong self-organization tendencies and ability to adapt to changing scenarios
  • Understanding of the Design process through Production and eventual Operation
  • Ability to review, critique, and improve written output of other engineers
  • Receptiveness to constructive feedback to improve capability and performance
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) capability
  • PE License
