At Norman Regional Health System, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care in our Intermediate Care unit. Our team of Registered Nurses (RNs) specializes in caring for patients with complex medical conditions, including strokes.
The role of an RN in our Intermediate Care unit involves critical assessment, implementation of nursing diagnoses, coordination of patient care, and evaluation of outcomes while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. To excel in this position, you will need an ADN or higher education, with current licensure and certifications. Evidence-based practices and teamwork are emphasized to ensure quality patient care.

Job Summary
- Assessment/reassessment: Systematically assesses and reassesses the healthcare needs of individuals, considering specific age groups and patient conditions.
- Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes: Analyzes assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Implementation and Coordination of Care: Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs, guided by professional judgment, evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
- Evaluation: Evaluates patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Previous experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Compensation and Benefits
- $27.84-$45.46 per hour based on previous work experience.
- Shift differentials available: $2.50 per hour for evenings, $3.00 per hour for overnights, and $3.00 per hour for weekends.
