Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and of high quality. This role also involves preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
- Position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment as necessary
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure by taking appropriate protection precautions
- Calibrate imaging equipment
- Prepare results for Physician review
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
**Requirements:**
- 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- BLS certification
- ARRT (R) National Certification
- State-specific licensing when required
**Physical Demands:**
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
**Requirements*: ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years
*Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
