About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Assistant, you will be working under the direction of a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide basic nursing care and implement selected aspects of the patients' nursing plan of care.
This role requires providing care/service to an acutely ill through rehabilitating patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those who require assistance with daily living activities, such as feeding, bathing, and oral care. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient safety measures, taking vital signs, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities- Follows appropriate Code Blue notification procedures
- Effectively prioritizes clinical interventions and care
- Basic hygiene and nursing care such as:
- Feeding
- Bathing
- Oral care
- Positioning
- Ambulating
- Bed linen changes
- Patient safety measures
- Vital sign measurement
- Intake and Output
- Obtaining/transporting of specimens
- Feed patients with swallowing difficulties following individual guidelines and orders from speech therapist
- Applies restraint devices, following all requirements for use of and documentation
- Non-sterile dressings/binders
- Oral cavity suction
- Obtains necessary training prior to initial equipment use
- Assures equipment is in operating order prior to use
- Other duties as assigned
- Uses the following equipment in accordance with manufacturer's operating instructions. Including, but not limited to:
- Blood pressure measurement devices
- Thermometers
- Scales
- Skin pressure relieving devices
- Care / Management of traction, immobilizers, CPM
- Pulse Oximetry
- Bedscales/chairscales
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Licenses/Certifications- State of California Nursing Assistant Certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- MAB (to complete within 90 days of hire) required.
The estimated salary for this role is approximately $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
