About the RoleJob Description

As a Veterinarian at Petco's Vetco Total Care Full Service Veterinary Hospitals, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals.

You will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat diseases, provide preventive care, and document all patient observations and findings in the medical record.

Additionally, you will participate in rounds, disseminate knowledge to staff, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date
  • Current DEA license
  • Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date
  • USDA Category I (minimum) Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate and sympathetic attitude, with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor during emotional and stressful situations
