Senior iSeries Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior iSeries Programmer to join our team at InterSources Inc.

This is a long-term contract position that requires excellent programming skills on the iSeries platform, including RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE).

1. Create and analyze new programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and CLP/CLLE.
2. Analyze and modify complex SQL queries, embedded SQL in SQLRPGLE, and cursor programming.
3. Create and analyze physical files, logical files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
4. Design and implement screen programs, including display files, subfiles, and printer files.
5. Document business rules effectively and create data mapping documents after analyzing program flows and data flows.
6. Analyze and create program modules, binding directories, and service programs using ILE programming.
7. Work with Message Queue (MQ), MQ Trigger, and embedding XML tags in RPG Programs.

1. Excellent programming skills on the iSeries platform, including RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and CLP/CLLE.
2. Very good knowledge of SQL concepts, including query analysis and modification, embedded SQL, and cursor programming.
3. Database expertise, including physical file creation, logical file analysis, and index design.
4. Good communication skills and ability to own project tasks based on client-site analyst interactions.
