Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The Technical Business Analyst is a critical role in the project team responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of client systems. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify, track, manage, and resolve project risks and issues
* Develop Project Management Office deliverables
* Provide overall leadership and management of project resources
* Define and collect metrics to give a sense of how the project is progressing and whether the deliverables produced are acceptable
* Manage the overall schedule to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within scope and budget
* Work closely with Senior Management in reporting project status and concerns

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

* Collaborate with clients to understand and define their business functions and processes
* Define system requirements, flows, and interfaces based on customer needs

Facilitating Requirement Gathering Sessions:

* Lead workshops and meetings to gather and document business requirements from stakeholders

Complex Data Analysis:

* Utilize analytical skills to analyze complex data sets and provide insights to support business decision-making

Communicating Requirements:

* Effectively communicate business requirements to the project team for application development purposes
* Develop software requirements specifications

Documentation and Training:

* Translate business requirements into clear and concise user, technical, and system documentation
* Create detailed documentation to address application and process issues, ensuring comprehensive coverage of requirements and solutions
* Deliver user, technical, and system documentation to clients and stakeholders as needed

Production Support:

* Work closely with the project team to troubleshoot and address production issues
* Track and communicate the status and resolution of production issues

Education and Certifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field
* PMP Certification or interest in obtaining PMP Certification, preferred

Knowledge and Experience:

* 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or project management roles, preferably in a technical environment
* Experience with technical requirements gathering, technical specification documentation, developing test scenarios, and testing

Skills and Abilities:

* Familiarity with business process modeling (BPMN) and workflow tools
* Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools like Jira, Trello, or MS Project
* Basic understanding of technical concepts related to software development, databases, or cloud technologies
* Exposure to project management frameworks such as PMP, Scrum, or PRINCE2
* Displays excellent business and technical writing skills
* Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
* Cultivates and maintains strong client relationships
* Demonstrates excellent oral communication skills and the ability to engage a particular audience while communicating with clients and project team members
