Job Description

As a Clinical Document Improvement Specialist RN, you will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation for our home care division, including nursing and social worker visits. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and analyzing medical records to ensure proper documentation.
  • Collaborating with HIM Coders, clinicians, and medical staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Working with Physicians, Medical Directors, Quality Directors, Case Managers, Nurse Directors, and Assistant Nurse Managers to improve outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of hospital clinical experience.
  • Coding skills with experience in ICD-9-CM and working knowledge of the AHA Coding Clinic.
