At SimIS Inc., we are seeking an experienced Resilience Specialist to support NATO's Strategic Alternatives Branch in developing and delivering the Layered Resilience Warfare Development Imperative.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in scoping work related to the Layered Resilience Concept, drafting civil-military resilience aspects of the program of work, expanding on the existing LR Community of Interest, and improving integration of the LR work into existing COIs, Centers of Excellence, the European Union, and other networks.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of the Layered Resilience Warfare Development Imperative.
  • Collaborate with the NATO community to enhance national and alliance capability to prepare for, resist, respond to, and quickly recover from strategic shocks and disruptions.
  • Maintain the unclassified Transnet page for the LR COI, integrating new and existing content on Civilian Resilience, Disaster Management, and emergency preparedness.
  • Contribute to the inclusion of civilian aspects of preparedness and resilience in Training and Education efforts within ACT.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or higher in political science, international studies, security studies, emergency preparedness, or a related field, along with 7 years of relevant experience in corporate, government, military, or academic environments.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as medical, dental, and vision benefits, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) savings plan, tuition assistance program, paid time off, and 11 federal holidays per year.
