Compensation Details

The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly wage of $14.70-$17.64 per hour.

Job Description

As a Developmental Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing quality experiences to children and parents that focus on the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Your role will involve assisting with implementing curriculum within established guidelines, supervising children, classrooms, and activities, making ongoing observations and evaluations of each child, maintaining program records, and attending staff meetings and training sessions.

You will also have the opportunity to build personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests while exemplifying the Y's commitment to DEI and the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training must be completed within 30 days of hire date.
  • A health form must be completed within 30 days of hire date and renewed every 3 years.
  • A desire to work with children in a developmental setting is essential.
