Automotive Repair Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician IV to join our team in the Finance and Administration Cabinet's Office of Fleet Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a fleet maintenance garage setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform complex automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a fleet maintenance garage setting.
- Provide senior-grade training assistance and mentorship to lower-graded technicians within the fleet garage.
- Perform major repairs and computer diagnostics on powertrain and engine management systems as required.
- Conduct precise diagnostics and repairs on automotive system modules and electronics.
- Perform accurate analysis and repairs to automotive drivability issues.
- Perform accurate troubleshooting, repair, and service on automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures, including oil changes, vehicle inspections, tire rotations, and tire mounting and balancing.
- Extensive automotive repair skills with expert-level ASE certifications.
- Good computer skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service experience.
- High school graduate.
- Eight years of automotive and/or equipment repair technical experience.
- Vocational or technical school training in automotive/truck repair or a related area will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
- Must be Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified master technician in medium/heavy truck or automobile test series.
- Must also be ASE certified in AC recovery.
