Industrial Maintenance Electrician Position at Dairy Farmers of America

At Dairy Farmers of America, we're committed to excellence in every aspect of our operations. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits package to attract top talent.

We're seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team on the 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm). This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with electrical systems, troubleshooting complex problems, and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

About the Role:
This position involves performing electrical maintenance tasks on plant utility and process infrastructure, including installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, components, and machinery. You'll work independently, with some oversight, and act as an informal resource for less-experienced colleagues. Your duties will include:
  • Programmable controllers, distributive control, and interlocking systems.
  • Installing equipment for new electrical services (120v, 240v, and 480v, three phases).
  • Wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, timers, and controls.
  • On-site automation system components, including 0–10-volt signal or 4-20 milliamp signal repair.
  • Electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, including circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed.
  • Electrical equipment, including Frequency Drives (VFDs), contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have strong electrical knowledge and experience with industrial maintenance practices. You'll need to be able to read and analyze technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and can effectively collaborate with operators, management, and employees to minimize equipment downtime. Additionally, you should be able to identify opportunities for process improvements and stay current with new products, equipment, technology, and techniques. A computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) experience is a plus. As a professional, you'll maintain a safe working environment, adhering to national, state, and local electrical codes, and comply with corporate regulatory requirements regarding health and safety issues.

Salary and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000, based on industry standards and the level of responsibility required. We offer an additional $3,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates. You'll also receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and ongoing training opportunities. If you're passionate about working with electrical systems and are dedicated to maintaining a high level of performance, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
