About the Role

This Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse plays a vital role in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting women throughout their labor and delivery experience and ensuring the safe arrival of their babies into the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.">
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess progress during labor, and assist with pain management techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience.">
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions.">
  • Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.">
  • Educate and support mothers and their families during the postpartum period, providing breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.">

Requirements

  • Current RN license">
  • BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)">
  • Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience">
