Clinical Informatics Specialist Opportunity

This is a contract position for a Clinical Informatics Specialist with a focus on ambulatory care. The role is hybrid, with 2 weeks per month spent remotely and 2 weeks onsite in a stunning location in Alaska. The onsite weeks can be flexible to accommodate personal events.

The position requires leadership experience in clinical informatics, including strategic planning and cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of health informatics and strategic system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning and cross-departmental collaboration for clinical informatics initiatives
  • Develop and implement healthcare IT solutions to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement clinical workflows and processes
  • Provide expert-level leadership and mentorship to team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in healthcare IT

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in clinical informatics or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT, informatics, or a related field (equivalent coursework or years of experience may be acceptable)
  • Expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of health informatics and strategic system optimization
  • Expert-level leadership, strategic planning, and team mentorship abilities
  • Expert knowledge of healthcare IT standards, industry regulations, data governance, and strategic IT management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Advanced Health Informatics Certification (AHIC) or equivalent
  • 8+ years of direct experience in a strategic informatics role, with expertise in healthcare system integrations and advanced data analytics
