About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our EP Team as a Scrum Master, focusing on Radar Systems and Algorithms. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining radar system requirements, designing architectures, and collaborating with software development teams to ensure effective implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain radar system requirements, including capability and feature design for arbitrary waveform generation
  • Collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation of radar system requirements
  • Prepare briefings for customer working groups and PDR presentations
  • Support Agile Team(s) software development, including requirement explanation, Q&A handling, and performance analysis of feature implementation
  • Create and coordinate team meetings, sprint planning, and reviews
  • Verify backlog readiness for planning and execution
  • Identify and champion resolution of impediments
  • Track and report team agile metrics
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in field of engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques
  • Experience with developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods, and tools
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
  • Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java, or DOORS
  • Strong analytic, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with system level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
  • Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track, and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
  • Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors, and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
  • Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
  • Previous military service
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
  • Strong analytic, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline

The salary range for this role is $64,000 USD - $128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
