Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative II to join our team at Baystate Health. As a key member of our patient relations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process admissions and related transactions in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with established protocols and quality standards.
  • Collect and verify demographic, insurance, and clinical information to facilitate patient placement and ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Provide professional, respectful, and empathetic communication to patients, families, and hospital staff, adhering to call guides and flows.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to Baystate Health's policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with service areas and external customers to resolve issues and provide solutions, promoting a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Baystate Health's standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 90 days experience as an ASR I, with successful completion of departmental orientation and mentorship.
  • Ability to type 25 wpm and possess strong keyboard skills.
  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write clearly and concisely.
  • Certified Medical Terminology (CMET) certification, obtained within one year of hire.
