About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Injury Attorney - Case Manager to join our team at Softcom Systems Inc.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, with a strong background in medical malpractice cases. This role involves managing a docket of cases, negotiating and settling claims, reviewing policies and claims records, and preparing legal documents. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively manage their time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage a portfolio of personal injury cases, including medical malpractice claims.
  • Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate and settle cases in the pre-litigation stage or litigation stages, ensuring optimal results for clients.
  • Record Review: Review policies, claims, and other records to identify potential issues and opportunities for resolution.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including memos, theory of liability, and demands.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with insurance companies and ensure client medical treatment is managed and billed accordingly.
  • Client Updates: Provide regular case status updates to clients, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the progress of their claim.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on medical malpractice cases.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills, as well as intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.
