Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at SOCOTEC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, metallurgical, or structural engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in stress analysis, advanced testing, and design consulting.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing stress analyses to solve complex issues related to design, life assessment, and root cause failure analyses.
  • Contributing to advanced testing, including the assessment of physical structure and behavior of metals and materials.
  • Performing heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and structural stress analyses of pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, bridges, and other structures.
  • Working with industry codes and standards for the design and analysis of structures and systems.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or structural engineering, and 5+ years of experience are required. A Professional Engineer license is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft products are also essential.
