Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PBX Operator PRN to join our team at TriCities Hospital. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for answering incoming and outgoing phone calls, responding to code phones, and monitoring security calls on radio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Respond to code phones and notify appropriate personnel
  • Monitor security calls on radio and contact appropriate personnel as needed
  • Page authorized personnel and physicians using the Executone System
  • Process long distance calls for various departments and physicians
  • Assist patients with local and long distance calls
  • Cover information calls as needed
  • Keep current files on admissions and discharges

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with at least one year of switchboard experience and a compatible voice for electronic transmission. Experience in a healthcare setting with clerical and PC skills is preferred.
