We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join our modernization team focused on transforming the legacy CVS pharmacy systems into a cutting-edge, cloud-native platform hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of user interfaces using Angular, React, and other modern frontend technologies.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product managers to build intuitive, responsive, and accessible web applications.
  • Develop scalable frontend components with a focus on reusability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Integrate REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints into frontend applications, ensuring efficient data retrieval and seamless user experiences.
  • Drive the adoption of modern frontend best practices, including component-driven development, state management, and modular architecture.
  • Optimize application performance through code reviews, profiling, and continuous refactoring.
  • Implement comprehensive testing strategies using frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, or Cypress to ensure high-quality, bug-free software.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and champion best practices in frontend development and testing.
  • Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications, automating the build, testing, and deployment process.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in frontend software engineering with a strong focus on modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Angular and React.
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable, responsive user interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • 4+ years of experience working with state management libraries like Redux, NgRx, or similar, ensuring efficient data flow and application state handling.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints into frontend applications, with an understanding of asynchronous programming and error handling.
  • 3+ years of experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, or Cypress, ensuring robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of frontend components.
  • 2+ years of experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on automating build, testing, and deployment processes for frontend applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility to ensure high-quality user experience.
  • Experience with modern frontend architecture patterns, such as micro-frontends, component-driven-development, and modular design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset for debugging and optimizing frontend performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional, agile teams.
