Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual Systems Programmer to join our team at IES Communications. As a key member of our AV team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex audio visual systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret AV signal drawings and scopes of work to ensure accurate system design and implementation.
  • Write source code for commercial audio/video systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Develop user-friendly GUIs and user experiences that meet IES standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with field engineers and superintendents to provide remote support for code uploads and system testing.
  • Provide feedback to AV engineers and project management on product experiences, schedules, programming, estimation, and quality control.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced team environment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Ability to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
  • Ability to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces, with a physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
  • PC & Networking proficiency, with experience in electronics or related fields a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree in electronics or a related field a plus.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in audio visual or other electro-mechanical installation techniques, or field servicing.
  • Crestron programming experience and Crestron Advanced Programming certification required.
  • Experience with video conferencing systems, including Polycom, Cisco, or LifeSize.
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams and drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Ability to meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • Ability to use common trade tools.
