About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team at Texas Transplant Physician Group. This individual will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, including sterilization
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Answer telephone calls and screen for referrals

To be successful in this role, candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
  • Twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA)

Candidates without Medical Assistant Certification must obtain it within one year of hire date. Those who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
