Job Title: Healthcare Financial Clearance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Financial Clearance Specialist to join our team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters.

About the Job

This role is responsible for working with Revenue Cycle departments to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions. You will present outcomes to leadership via monthly meetings, presentations, and reports. Your goal is to ensure that all service areas meet their goals as determined by key performance indicators of volume and accuracy of work completed utilizing system tools or processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle departments to analyze data and identify areas for improvement
  • Presents findings to leadership and implements corrective actions
  • Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits using real-time eligibility tools, payer websites, and/or telephone calls
  • Collects and documents payer verification responses in revenue systems
  • Secures timely authorizations for services that require authorization per payer regulations
Requirements
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in healthcare operations, registration, and/or revenue cycle
  • Excellent customer service skills required to communicate with internal and external clients
  • Demonstrates ability to solve problems independently or as part of a team
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
Salary Range:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year
