Job Summary

The Talent Development Lead serves as a leader and culture ambassador for Barry's, guiding the regional Talent team in delivering an exceptional experience for clients. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive Instructor growth and development, ensuring a consistent and engaging workout experience across all studios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver effective programming, inclusive music, and engaging workout experiences for Instructors in the Red Room.
  • Coach Instructors on building community through high levels of in/out of studio engagement with clients, including social media promotion.
  • Partner with Marketing to identify practical ways for Instructors to develop a brand-aligned social media presence and marketing strategy.
  • Address programming-related issues limiting Instructor growth and performance.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Instructor Talent to provide feedback on Instructor performance and address MVV alignment issues.
  • Conduct team-building events with the Director of Instructor Talent.
  • Evaluate Instructor performance bi-annually and conduct regular touch-base meetings to support growth and development.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of talent to ensure Barry's has best-in-market talent.
  • Lead new Instructor training, delivering curriculum and providing brand feedback.
  • Manage pre-training and post-training processes to support new Instructors.
  • Own a schedule of 12 regularly scheduled Red Room classes per week, flexed based on studio needs.
  • Conduct Instructor team meetings to review performance and provide training and support.
  • Take classes per week to provide timely performance-based feedback.
  • Work cross-functionally with Talent leadership and studio management.

Requirements

  • Be in the top 50% performance amongst peers.
  • Proven leader in the regional fitness community.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, 5 days a week.
  • Ability to perform work on/using a telephone/computer for as much as 8 hours per day, 5 days.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage subordinate employees.
  • Ability to understand, consider, and assess the financial impact of decisions.
