Medical Care Specialist

We are seeking a Medical Care Specialist to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. This role will provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership for staff
- Provide full range of patient education to patients and family members
- Assume relief charge duties when designated
- Ensure adherence to hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
- RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
- 3 years directly related experience
Physical Demands:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
Working Conditions:
- Moderate exposure to chemicals/dangerous equipment/materials
Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is around $75,000-$110,000 depending on qualifications and location.
