About the Opportunity


The Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning at Harvard University is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of its learning experience platform. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of education by discovering new ways to build competence, curiosity, and confidence in learners around the world.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans and timelines for various initiatives related to the learning experience platform.
  • Collaborate with various teams within VPAL to define and deliver on scope, goals, and deliverables for various projects.
  • Manage the programmatic roadmap, tracking what programs are running and planned for on the platform.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for partners, responsible for understanding and communicating their needs back to VPAL and facilitating optimal working relationships.
  • Guide partners through the process of adoption, enabling them to engage directly in platform use or facilitate hand-offs to VPAL stakeholders when necessary.
  • Engage with Harvard-wide stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding partner needs to ensure governance, product, and strategic decisions are surfaced, communicated, and put through appropriate processes.
  • Assist in preparing project status updates at various levels within VPAL and to partners and governance bodies as needed.
  • Absorb and leverage project-related technology to ensure effective project management and collaboration.


About You


We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong background in project management, preferably in an educational setting, is essential. Knowledge of IT technical standards and best practices, as well as experience with tools such as Asana, Trello, or Jira, is also desirable.



What We Offer



  • A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • A two-year term appointment starting from the date of hire, with possibility of renewal.
