Behavior Specialist

The Achievement First Bridgeport campus is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a critical role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain behavior systems and protocols in conjunction with the Dean of School Culture and Principal.
- Build strong relationships with students and provide individualized support to those who need it.
- Provide administrative support during critical times of the day, such as breakfast, lunch, and dismissal.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Attend professional development sessions and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices in behavior support.
- Assist the Dean of School Culture with related work as needed.
- A college degree is required.
- Experience working with children or adolescents is preferred.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to Achievement First's mission and values.
- A competitive salary ranging from $46,040 to $76,567 in Connecticut.
