About the Role:

The Achievement First Bridgeport campus is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a critical role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain behavior systems and protocols in conjunction with the Dean of School Culture and Principal.
  • Build strong relationships with students and provide individualized support to those who need it.
  • Provide administrative support during critical times of the day, such as breakfast, lunch, and dismissal.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Attend professional development sessions and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices in behavior support.
  • Assist the Dean of School Culture with related work as needed.
Requirements:
  • A college degree is required.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents is preferred.
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to Achievement First's mission and values.
